In 12 Houses, Sjoerd Soeters shows a dozen houses, designed between the late seventies and today. Soeters is best known for large and eye-catching projects such as Inverdan in the centre of Zaanstad. This book presents his subtle work on a domestic scale.
Soeters’ detailed explanations of the twelve houses are preceded by a long essay in which he looks back on his career and talks about the pleasure he derives from designing houses in which people really feel at home. The book concludes with an afterword by Hans Ibelings.
